Born and raised on the favelas of Salvador, I always dreamed of what the world could be like on the other side of the city. As a first-generation student, I built my educational path in Engineering without guidance or financial support, neither knowing the roots of my imposter syndrome and fear of failure. Today, as I progress in overcoming intergenerational traumas, I want to serve as a safe space and the seed in the mind of underrepresented youth to understand that their traumas don’t define them and that they are allowed to build dreams.
